About Me
LOAD was born in Akron, Ohio, and raised between Atwater with his dad and Cuyahoga Falls with his mom. From a young age, music was a passion. He first picked up the recorder in third grade—but by fourth grade, inspired by Squidward from SpongeBob, he wanted to play clarinet. After having no luck with clarinet, his perseverance led him to percussion instead—which he thoroughly enjoyed from fourth through eighth grade.
High school brought new opportunities: Load joined the band, eventually becoming captain of the marching band and proudly wielding the largest bass drum. In college, he switched to cymbals until deciding to leave in his second semester to pursue his true calling: helping artists craft their sound.
For over a decade, he’s been at the helm of The Tomb Studio in Akron, serving as lead engineer, producer, and owner. Under his guidance, musicians—especially in hip-hop and R&B—have found a supportive space to bring their creative visions to life. Whether it’s tracking, mixing, mastering, or beat production, Load is known for his technical expertise and collaborative spirit.
