PAID TOMB TIME

Supplemental Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: May 6, 2026

Paid Tomb Time is a collaborative recording event hosted by The Tomb Studio. These Supplemental Terms apply specifically to Paid Tomb Time sessions and operate alongside The Tomb Studio's standard Terms & Conditions. In the event of a conflict between these Supplemental Terms and the standard Terms & Conditions, these Supplemental Terms take precedence for all matters related to Paid Tomb Time. For anything not addressed here, the standard Terms & Conditions apply.

By booking a Paid Tomb Time slot, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to both these Supplemental Terms and The Tomb Studio's standard Terms & Conditions.

1. Event Format & Minimum Participation

Each Paid Tomb Time session requires a minimum number of participating artists in order to proceed. The Studio reserves the right to set and announce this minimum for each event. If the minimum number of artists is not met by the event date, the session will be canceled and all payments will be refunded in full.

The Studio reserves the right to set the schedule, format, and structure of each Paid Tomb Time session, including the number of songs to be recorded, the beats provided, and the session timeline.

2. Payment & Refund Policy

Each Paid Tomb Time session requires an entry fee, paid in advance through The Tomb Studio's booking platform. The entry fee is non-transferable and cannot be applied to other Studio services.

2.1 Cancellation by Artist

The standard 48-hour cancellation policy from The Tomb Studio's Terms & Conditions applies to Paid Tomb Time bookings. If you cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled event, you will receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event are non-refundable.

2.2 Cancellation by Studio

If The Tomb Studio cancels the event for any reason (including failure to meet the minimum participation requirement), all artist payments will be refunded in full.

2.3 No-Show

If you fail to attend a Paid Tomb Time session without prior notice, your entry fee is forfeited. No refund, credit, or rescheduling will be offered.

3. Music Creation & Recording

Artists will be provided with beats in advance of the session and are expected to arrive with written material (lyrics, verses, hooks) prepared for the provided beats. Each session aims to record between 4 and 8 songs, depending on the number of participants, session length, and creative flow.

The Tomb Studio retains full creative discretion over which songs recorded during the session are finalized, mixed, mastered, and selected for release. Not every song recorded is guaranteed to be released.

4. Ownership, Royalty Splits & Distribution

Paid Tomb Time operates under a collaborative ownership model that differs from the standard intellectual property terms in The Tomb Studio's Terms & Conditions. By participating, you agree to the following ownership and royalty structure for all songs created during the session:

4.1 Royalty Split

All master royalties and publishing for songs created during Paid Tomb Time are split as follows:

  • 30% — Artist(s). If multiple artists appear on the same track, this 30% is divided equally among all contributing artists on that track.

  • 30% — Engineer (the person who records and mixes the session)

  • 30% — Producer (the person who created the beat used on the track)

  • 10% — The Tomb Studio

If the engineer and producer are the same person, that individual receives both the 30% engineer share and the 30% producer share (60% total). These splits are non-negotiable and are a condition of participation in Paid Tomb Time.

4.2 Distribution

All songs created during Paid Tomb Time will be released under The Tomb Studio's distribution through its designated distributor. The Studio reserves the right to change distributors at any time. The distribution arrangement is permanent — once a song is released, it will remain on distribution indefinitely.

Artists must provide a valid email address and register for a free account with the designated distributor in order to receive royalty payments. Failure to register does not affect the royalty split but will delay the artist's ability to collect their share. The Studio is not responsible for uncollected royalties resulting from an artist's failure to register.

4.3 How This Differs from Standard Studio Sessions

Under the standard Terms & Conditions, artists retain full ownership of their vocal recordings and performances. Paid Tomb Time is different: because the Studio provides the beats, engineering, production, and distribution infrastructure, all participants share ownership through the royalty split described above. By booking a Paid Tomb Time slot, you agree that the standard IP terms (Section 17 of the Terms & Conditions) do not apply to songs created during Paid Tomb Time sessions.

5. Playlist Placement & Promotion

Songs created during Paid Tomb Time may be included in The Tomb Studio's promotional playlists alongside other local and industry-standard tracks. A portion of collected entry fees may be allocated toward advertising campaigns for playlist promotion at the Studio's discretion. The Tomb Studio and its partners retain full discretion over the management, allocation, and use of promotional funds. There is no guarantee of specific promotional outcomes, playlist placement duration, or advertising spend.

6. Artist Responsibilities

  • Come prepared with written material (lyrics, verses, hooks) for the beats provided in advance.

  • Attend the session on time and for its full duration. Leaving early may affect your inclusion on finalized tracks.

  • Provide accurate contact information (legal name, email address, phone number) for royalty registration and communication.

  • Complete any required registration with the designated distributor in a timely manner to enable royalty collection.

  • Treat all other participating artists, engineers, and staff with respect. The Studio's standard conduct rules apply.

7. Studio Rights & Creative Discretion

The Tomb Studio retains the right to:

  • Approve or reject any recorded material for final release

  • Edit, mix, and master songs at its discretion, including combining contributions from multiple artists

  • Withhold release of any material deemed unsuitable for distribution for any reason

  • Determine the release schedule, sequencing, and marketing strategy for all Paid Tomb Time recordings

The Studio's decision on which songs are released is final. Artists may not independently release, distribute, or upload any recordings made during Paid Tomb Time sessions, as these are collaborative works governed by the royalty split in Section 4.

8. Acknowledgment

By booking and participating in Paid Tomb Time, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You have read and accepted both these Supplemental Terms and The Tomb Studio's standard Terms & Conditions.

  • The royalty split and distribution arrangement described in Section 4 are permanent and non-negotiable.

  • The Tomb Studio is the organizing entity and retains authority over all session logistics, creative decisions, music releases, and promotional activities.

  • Your participation is voluntary, and you are entering into this arrangement with full understanding of the ownership structure.
